“Your’e sure of this. Lieutenant.”
“Quite sure Master Jedi; I have the reports confirmed by a number of independent witnesses our own intelligence team and the archaeologist himself believes the findings to it be genuine. They can’t all be in the pay of the enemy; Why even Lusal has probed the teams with the force and concurred that there was no evil presence. If you need more evidence, sir, I can gather it immediately.”
“Relax Lieutenant. You’ve sold me. I might even recommend you for a medal for your role in this affair.”
“Thank you sir.”
“Very good. Carry on Lieutenant.”
The intelligence officer saluted and left the room, leaving Aquan alone with his thoughts. A new holocron discovered. What secrets might this uphold. For all he knew this could tip the balance in their favour in the never ending war. He would find it and bring it back for the glory of the Light side. If he could take this chance to strike a blow at the sith it would be worth delaying his leave on Courescant. He moved excitedly over to a console on the wall and patched open a channel to his old master, Raphael, who no doubt was enjoying some well deserved R&R on Courescant, if he wasn’t already involved in berating senators or teaching younglings. Soon he heard the familiar drone of a hologram in action.
“Master Raphael, have you heard the news?”
“Yes I have. In fact I’ve already discussed it with the High Council and War Committee.” It was just like Raphael to have done everything possible before most people knew about it. Aquan listened expectantly. “And…”
“And you have been cleared to go to the nebula immediately. You can rendezvous with another group of Jedi on the way there. I’m sending you their co-ordinates now.”
“Thank you Master.”
“Good luck my old friend. May the Force be with you.”
“And with you too Master.” As Aquan turned to leave Raphael suddenly called.
“There is one more thing Aquan.”
“Yes Master?” he asked surprised. It was not like Raphael to leave something to the last minuet.
“Why haven’t you started yet? Raphael out.”
Aquan laughed to himself. Raphael was one of the few people who could still get him with even the simplest of jokes. He walked to the Bridge and enjoyed it as the various officers and ratings snapped to attention and greeted him with “Admiral” and “Sir”.
“Flags,” said Aquan “Siginal the fleet. Jump to Hyperspace bearing green 027 mark 40 on my order.”
“The fleets responding, sir. Awaiting your orders.”
“Very good. All engines ignite! Full ahead both! Hyperspace jump initiate.”
The stars seemed to recede as the fleet jumped into a new adventure. Who knew where this would take them? Who knew who they would meet?
